Heat, Storms & Steel
We are, as island nations, direct recipients of global warming
and must adapt accordingly, to meet climatic changes.
The steady rise in temperatures and humidity across the region, has had a negative impact on our energy bills and equipment. Fans and A/C’s are stretched to their limits, with no let up in the foreseeable future.
At ECMIL, we provide COLORBOND® Thermatech® solar reflectance technology, designed to reflect more of the sun's heat on hot days, which can mean less dependence on air-conditioning and reduced heat stress for your roof.
This technology has been extensively tested to withstand extreme environments and conditions. With layers of enhanced corrosion resistance, adhesion pretreatment, a corrosion inhibitive primer and a baked on top coat,
our roofing steel is resistant to chipping, flaking and blistering.
To enhance an already effective product
we also recommend and supply Ply-Foil Roofing Insulation.
This is a multilayer, reflective insulation, which comes in rolls,
is for use in both specialty and standard construction projects.
Two outer layers of metalized film reflect 96% of the radiant heat.
Two outer layers of metalized film reflect 96% of the radiant heat. Each layer of film is bonded to a tough layer
of polyethylene for strength. The inner layers of bubble-pack resist conductive heat flow, while a centre layer
of polyethylene gives Ply-Foil additional strength.
These products go far in protecting your property and making your environment more comfortable and livable.
However, we still live in a hurricane zone, prone to excessive weather incidents for at least half of the calendar year.
In the Caribbean, steel is at the forefront to combat the ravages of extreme high winds and rain.
From foundations, building walls and paths, to the controlling of rainwater, ECMIL supplies top quality items of metal fabrication, water storage, aluminium guttering and PVC drainage, to bring confidence and durability to all forms of construction, which protect our lives against these weather patterns.
We recommend that if you live within the Caribbean region and seek steel and PVC solutions to strengthen your property and foundations, you should contact your ECMIL sales representative and discuss how our products can improve your environment. Within that conversation consider practical, long term investments, such as water runoff and water storage. Alternatively, email us, using our contact form, tell us what you are considering and even upload a plan of your existing property, allowing us to review what can be done. You should equally seek advice from a local construction professional, to review work which could be undertaken with our products.
We cannot stop the weather,
but our products can secure shelter and protect your family
and your investment, both now and for years to come.
Call our experienced and knowledgeable staff today to discuss your next building project and discover how
ECMIL provides a comprehensive choice to suit any palette, or construction, while giving the opportunity to take part
in our environmental survival.
