Getting Noticed in the Construction Industry
Finding quality tradesmen in the Caribbean is often
a difficult task. ECMIL wants you to get noticed in our construction industry.
At ECMIL
we know who we are, what we do and who we do it for.
We maintain or exceed international standards with all of our products and supply the Region with excellent ex-factory prices. We listen, and support the construction industry and individuals, by supplying current styles and specifications,
on time and on budget.
But if you can’t find quality tradesmen to utilise our products,
life can become extremely problematic. Conversely, if the phone doesn’t ring for many construction professionals, large or small, there is a definite breakdown in communication.
As an old ad man once told me,
"Simply put, if they can’t find you,
you are not making enough effort to talk to them."
Everyone, at some time or another, has given testimonials
and references for tradesmen across these islands.
However, finding one when you need one is a different story.
This coupled with COVID protocols and new construction industry standards, makes the inevitably difficult decision process much harder, often by a lack of choice and information.
Established construction companies make their name through websites which explain their services, ads in the yellow pages and local TV, billboards and online newsletters.
They have dedicated sales professionals pushing services 24/7, 365, and are largely included in current and ongoing discussions on standards and protocols.
They have ad budgets.
However, the solo, or small groups of tradesmen, are not so fortunate, often living from job to job, with limited support from banks and often little understanding of where to begin ‘true business’, let alone the advertising process. They may even be excluded from those important industry discussions.
ECMIL services a diversity of building professionals across many territories in the region, as well as independent home owners and home developers, seeking our products and information. They often encounter difficulties accessing contact information for local construction pros.
Our website and newsletter are well established and are gateways for information, connection and commerce.
We wish to expand our platform to create a hub where both of these groups can interact, through a fully functional directory.
The potential customer can easily find contacts and tradesmen seldom miss a call, or a job.
If you are a construction professional, individual or company, we would like to hear from you.
Please provide us with the following:
- Your contact name and company name (if appropriate)
- Your location (island, village or town) and address
- Your contact details: Telephone/fax number/ Whatsapp/ Facebook/ Instagram, etc
- A comprehensive list of your skills.
- Any other information, such as company logo, photos of work etc. to assist potential customers.
- Please indicate if you can supply written quotations and contracts.
- Please indicate if you have worked with or purchased our products in the past.
This is a realistic service and opportunity to get noticed.
Our golden rule is that
we will never offer what we can’t deliver.
We expect those offering their services to do the same.
It’s our experience that if the work is good, more work will come.
The construction industry needs work at all levels, especially in the islands of the Caribbean.
When you contact us, we will review every submission and develop a fresh approach to advertising our industry and do our best to get you noticed.
